Call for Abstracts
Showcase your research on a global stage at the 5th Optometry Scientific Conference 2026 (5thOSC2026)!
The Optometry Scientific Committee invites researchers, clinicians, educators, and industry professionals to submit abstracts for presentation at the 5th Optometry Scientific Conference 2026. This conference provides a platform to share cutting-edge research, innovative clinical practices, and advancements in optometric science.
Submission Process
All abstracts must be submitted via the official conference submission portal. Each author may submit a maximum of two (2) abstracts as a presenting author. Abstracts will be reviewed through a double-blind peer review process. Only original and unpublished research will be considered. All submissions must comply with ethical research standards (IRB approval if applicable).
Important Dates

| Notification of Acceptance | 28 February 2026 |
| Presenter Confirmation Deadline | 15 March 2026 |
| Final Program Announcement | 1 April 2026 |
Late submissions will not be accepted unless an extension is officially announced.
Abstract Categories
Authors must select one of the following categories when submitting their abstracts:
- Clinical Optometry & Vision Science
- Public Health & Community Eye Care
- Ocular Diseases & Therapeutics
- Optometric Education & Professional Development
- Optical & Vision Technologies
- Sports Vision & Performance
- Low Vision & Rehabilitation
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reassign abstracts to a more appropriate category if needed.
Review & Evaluation Criteria
All abstracts will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Scientific Rigor – Clarity in research design & methodology.
- Originality & Innovation – Novel contribution to optometry.
- Relevance – Applicability to clinical practice, education, or public health.
- Presentation & Clarity – Well-structured, free from grammatical errors.
Acceptance is based on scientific merit, relevance, and program capacity.
Post-Acceptance Guidelines
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
- Presenters must register for the conference by 15 February 2026 to confirm their participation.
- Oral & poster presenters will receive detailed instructions for their sessions upon acceptance.
